New name

Postby m5pileofaluminum » Wed Oct 01, 2014 6:53 am

Well here we are . I am from the other super fatally hacked forum. Lets see if we can guess who I WAS over there.
Ah a new clean forum, here. No bickering.

Silly name I came up with. What do you all say?
Why?
Well I finally received an M5 a plain jane copper dia's . 2/3 chambers cracked in usuall place. Will weld .
No sound.
The 4 tower was rewelded by????????? who ever had it before. It leans back. SO I have to cut it off and re weld. AAHHHHHH.
So right now al it is is a PILE OF ALUMINUM

I have 2 lathes and a mill. Tuned a few K horns. I turn Leslie /prime PChambers on the Southbend 9 ,in a new 3 jaw chuck that grabs them in the bore. Turns true.
Its the simplest thing in the world to turn those chambers, fast and easy 15 minutes max done ,NEXT
SO AZ honk is here LETS DISCUSS HORNS .  :geek:

Welcome to the forum. I just changed my name from Webmaster to hoot... was an old nickname. I was "hoot" over at the hornwhistleboard. I have a small Southbend 9" lathe and a Bridgeport.

I agree, these M5 horns have the very best sound of any locomotive horn.
