The "China 5"

Postby Shay5fan » Tue Nov 18, 2014 10:17 pm

Call me crazy, but one of my only few favorite 5 chime whistles has got to be the Chinese 5 chime.Once you get to 5 chimes, you pretty much loose my interest. Except for a tiny handful of 5 and 6 chimes, most just don't ring my musical ear. The Chinese 5, however, just sounds plain cool. I'm looking for the dimensions of this whistle(Chamber length, slot height, diameter, ect) If anyone has one of these, I'd love some detailed pics and specs. Would love vids too.

The Chinese 5-chime whistle is still made today and the factory that makes them would be very happy to sell you one. Why not just get the real item? I think it is cool that there is a full size locomotive whistle available to both steam locomotive operators and whistle fans alike. Price? $475, much cheaper than you would pay for a common Leslie horn!!! Here's the link:
