Building a home made pig rotisserie

Postby hoot » Sat May 07, 2016 10:49 am

Got this started last week. Need about 1 rpm at the pig. Found a 12 rpm geared motor. Two stage belt drive. First stage takes it to 4 rpm. Second stage drops to .7 rpm with parts laying around the shop.

I want to build a cover for the drive module it so rain isn't an issue.

I have a 6 foot stainless thick wall tube for the spit bar. The stands will be angle iron with three vertical position. Bar will rest on two bearings on each stand. Updates to come.
